When Getting Through The Day Isn’t the Same as Feeling Okay

Are anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional disconnection making it hard to feel like yourself?

  • You can function, but you don’t feel calm.

  • You overthink everything—and still don’t feel certain about what you need.

  • You feel emotionally “full” (or emotionally numb) and can’t find the off switch.

  • You keep telling yourself you should be fine… but you’re not.

  • You’re tired of carrying it alone.

You may also struggle with…

Overthinking

You replay conversations, second-guess your choices, and run future scenarios in your head—trying to prevent something from going wrong. Even when nothing is happening, your mind doesn’t fully rest.

People-Pleasing

You say “yes” when you mean “no,” then feel resentful or depleted. You care deeply about others—but you’re not sure how to care for yourself without guilt.

Feeling Disconnected From Yourself

You’re doing all the right things on paper, but you don’t feel present in your life. It’s hard to name what you feel, what you want, or what would actually help.

Feeling “Too Much”

Your emotions feel intense, or hard to regulate. You worry you’re overwhelming others—or you keep it all inside until it spills out.

Feeling “Not Enough”

No matter what you accomplish, it doesn’t land. Compliments feel uncomfortable. You compare, criticize, and quietly wonder what’s wrong with you.

It might feel heavy right now, but it can get better.

You can feel steadier in your body.

You can trust yourself again.

You can build a life that feels more aligned—one percent at a time.

Individual therapy can help you…

  • develop tools for navigating anxiety and emotional overwhelm

  • understand your emotional patterns without shame

  • build boundaries that protect your energy and relationships

  • reduce people-pleasing and strengthen self-trust

  • reconnect with needs, values, and identity

  • move through life transitions with more stability

  • practice communication that feels clear and grounded

  • create small, sustainable shifts that actually stick

What Individual Therapy With Me Can Look Like

You don't need to come to therapy already understanding your patterns.

Maybe you know exactly why you respond the way you do but feel stuck when it comes to changing it. Or maybe you simply know that something feels off and you're not sure where to begin.

Both are welcome here.

Our work can start with slowing things down enough to understand what's happening—your thoughts, emotions, relationships, needs, experiences, values, and the stories you've learned about yourself.

From there, we can explore what comes next.

That might mean practicing a boundary, learning to make room for an uncomfortable emotion, creating an external support, communicating a need, experimenting with a new response, or taking one small action toward something that matters to you.

I don't believe therapy needs to give you another overwhelming list of things you're supposed to do.

Instead, we'll work collaboratively to identify realistic, repeatable changes that fit your actual life.

One percent shifts that can build into meaningful change over time.

What We Can Explore Together

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm

  • Self-worth, self-criticism, and perfectionism

  • Boundaries, people-pleasing, and identifying your needs

  • Self-trust and decision-making

  • Relationship patterns and communication

  • Identity shifts and life transitions

  • ADHD-related concerns and executive functioning

  • Past experiences that continue to influence the present

My work is collaborative and may draw from approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, relationship-focused work, and somatic-informed practices depending on your needs and goals.

Women’s ADHD + ADHD Related Support

ADHD can look different from person to person. For many women, ADHD-related experiences may be internalized, misunderstood, or interpreted through expectations around productivity, relationships, emotional expression, and caregiving.

I offer affirming, individualized support for adults navigating ADHD-related concerns such as executive functioning challenges, emotional overwhelm, overthinking, self-doubt, difficulty identifying needs, and patterns that may have gone overlooked or misunderstood.

Our Work May Include:

Self-Understanding — developing greater awareness of your patterns without reducing yourself to a diagnosis.

Executive Functioning — creating realistic and flexible supports for planning, initiation, organization, and follow-through.

Self-Compassion — reducing shame and exploring a kinder way of understanding your experiences.

Relationships — exploring communication, needs, boundaries, and how ADHD-related experiences may show up relationally.

Identity — making space to understand yourself, your strengths, your needs, and what living intentionally looks like for you.

When appropriate, we can also consider the external environments, structures, and supports that influence your daily functioning rather than placing the responsibility for change entirely on you.
